Do you want to contribute to a sustainable circular society with safe waste management methods? We are now looking to strengthen our team with an experienced waste-focused environmental consultant who wants to work as a project manager in municipal and industrial waste management.

We are looking for someone with at least 10 years of experience in applying environmental legislation in waste management, such as waste classification, landfill design including bottom sealing, capping, and leachate management, as well as permitting processes for such operations. Additionally, it is an advantage if you have also worked with more strategic waste planning such as circular economy, municipal waste planning, and/or industrial waste plans.

Responsibilities You will work as an expert or project manager responsible for leading assignments and projects in some of the areas below with a clear focus on the waste industry.

• Plan and execute permitting processes

• Investigations related to waste management and landfills

• Waste characterizations and productization

• Waste planning

Qualifications We are looking for someone with experience working with environmental issues related to waste management with good knowledge and practical experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Preparation of permit applications and environmental impact assessments according to the Environmental Code, in a role as a consultant or in a role as an environmental manager in an industry or municipal operation, alternatively as an environmental officer within the supervisory authority.

• Project management with planning of waste management and execution of landfills

Fundamentally, you have an engineering degree or a technical or environmental science education from a university or college, and you have good knowledge of both Swedish and English, in both spoken and written form. A degree in civil engineering or environmental and water technology or equivalent is advantageous.
